The first Japanese sushi restaurant in Flagstaff, Sakura Sushi & Teppanyaki opened to the public in 1990. Amazingly, Sakura’s has been Voted #1 Japanese restaurant in Flagstaff by the Daily Sun since the programs inception, sometime after the restaurants opening. Sakura was also voted best Japanese Restaurant in Flagstaff in 2002 by Marketing Surveys of America. Sakura not only offers great tasting, quality sushi and teppanyaki, but also a fun, entertaining atmosphere which somehow manages to stay true to the classic Japanese tradition. Sakura is the only Sushi restaurant in Flagstaff that has Teppanyaki tables and that offers catering for meetings and parties.

Voted #1 Sushi bar in Flagstaff from Market Surveys of America. Seating 80 people, it is the largest sushi bar in Flagstaff. Located at the end of a strip mall, Hiro’s also houses a Japanese gift shop where guests can purchase an array of Japanese items from kimonos to spices. The atmosphere of Hiro’s is traditional Japanese – less of a “party” atmosphere than a true Japanese family oriented dining experience.
